El huracán Irma ha sido catalogado es el ciclón más duradero a tanta intensidad jamás registrado.
La tormenta entró al mar Caribe desde el Atlántico y causó daños severos en la isla de Barbuda. El primer ministro de Antigua y Barbuda, Gaston Browne, expresó ayer que 92% de la isla quedó inhabitable y que la recuperación durará años.
Se espera que este jueves pase al norte de La Española y que el fin de semana toque Florida, donde fue declarado el estado de emergencia y la población ha tomado precauciones extremas. AFP
